EverQuest II Team Biographies
- Producer
Andrew Sites is the producer of EverQuest II, sequel to the incredibly successful
EverQuest series. He made his way into the game industry in 1996, where he
worked on PlayStation titles for Sony Interactive Studios. In 1998, he was
recruited by the EverQuest team to assume the role of Associate Producer.
Shortly after EverQuest's launch, Sites was promoted to Producer, where he
led the development and successful release of EverQuest: The Ruins of Kunark.
Andrew has been actively gaming since the purchase of his first game system
in 1982. With 20+ years of gaming experience (both console and PC) under his
belt, his genre favorites range from RPGs to racing.
- Art Director
Stuart has been working with computer art for 25 years, moving into game development
and multimedia creation for the last 12 years. He finally jumped into game development
exclusively 3 years ago at Sierra Studios, then a stint at Microsoft with Crimson
Skies and Mech Commander 2, finally landing at Sony Online Entertainment to
work on EverQuest II.
- Lead Designer
Bill Trost is Lead Game Designer for EverQuest II. Bill was one of the original
members of the EverQuest team, serving as both Co-Creator and Lead Game Designer
on the initial EverQuest release, in addition to contributing as an Artist
on the project. Bill also served as the Lead Game Designer of the first two
EverQuest expansion packs: The Ruins of Kunark, and The Scars of Velious.
The world of Norrath is largely based on the tabletop role-playing campaigns
that Bill began creating over twenty years ago. An avid player of both traditional
and video games, Bill lists Dungeons and Dragons (pen and paper), Castle Wolfenstien
(Apple II), Dungeon Master (Amiga), Talisman (board game), and System Shock
2 (PC) as some of his biggest influences.
- Lead Programmer
Jon has been programming professionally for about 12 years, with experience
that runs the gamut from real time image compression to compiler design. He
broke into the game industry in 1996, working on a number of console and PC
titles for Paradigm Entertainment. Having been an avid player and developer
on several early online games, Jon found himself thoroughly bitten by the
EverQuest bug after its launch. Jon enjoys all incarnations of RPGs, including
pen and paper, console, single player, and massively multiplayer.
